Sake Experience

As sake has gradually grown in popularity across the globe, a number of quality programs continue to pop up, designed to educate and inform aspiring sake professionals - a truly invaluable resource in developing the sake market internationally.

With the Sake Experience, however, our focus is on growing the sake community by providing an opportunity for those with even a casual level of interest in sake and Japanese food culture to encounter and engage with sake in a way that is approachable and easily communicated, emphasizing the diverse experiences that are possible through sharing in sake. The act of experiencing and sharing is at the very heart of learning, and by having specialists in Japanese sake, food, and culture on-hand, the Sake Experience provides a place where participants can discover their own questions about sake and related culture, leading to a natural communication about sake and a shared experience that inspires more questions, facilitates a sense of discovery, and naturally cultivates a sake-curious community.

By hosting a weekly Sake Experience, Peace Kitchen has provided an opportunity for hundreds of individuals with previously only a passing interest or experience with sake to discover for themselves the enjoyment, depth, and diversity that makes sake and sake culture so exciting. Sake Experience participants have gone on to host their own sake-centric events, proactively develop local sake communities, create new platforms for sharing sake info and events locally, and engage in different corners of the sake world, both personally, as well as professionally.
